What is Therapeutic Breathwork?

“And then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk to bloom” —Anaïs Nin
The process itself uses very simple means: it combines breath (inhalation and exhalation through an open mouth) with a soundtrack of music to guide the process. With the eyes closed and in a comfortable reclined position (supported as necessary), each person breathes; focusing on a full inhalation and exhalation (without pause) through a relaxed and open mouth. The soundtrack can help to release habitual thought patterns and support the focused breath. Each participants’ experience is unique, and the process can facilitate a shift in perspective and greater awareness of life experiences. The participant is guided to maintain the breath pattern, allowing the “wisdom of the breath” to direct the session.
The breather can maintain control of the intensity of the session by modifying the breath (by deepening or slowing the breath or shifting to nostril breathing). While recurring themes are common, the sessions are unique.

The Breathwork practice can create an “opening” a connection to deep seated wisdom, safely releasing suppressions. Surrendering to the breath pattern (“the wisdom of breath”), leading to an energetic shift.

Personal Exploration with the Breath

Facilitated by Wayne Lapinski and Ken Fishman A 1.5 hour workshop via Zoom

Zoom sessions held monthly on one Tuesday evening (7-8:30pm)
and on one Saturday morning (9:30-11:00am)

A Guided  Experience of Therapeutic Breathwork

A profound experience of conscious connected breathing that will inspire breath awareness and a healthier breath pattern. The practice can bring greater personal perspective.

The word spirit comes from the Latin “spiritus” meaning “breath”
and also “spirit soul, courage, vigor.”

Students will be introduced to using conscious connected breath.

Using this breath pattern students will be:

• Moving prana (energy) in the body

• increasing oxygen levels in the body

• Releasing habitual patterns of holding

• Reducing stress levels / clearing the mind

• Improving the quality of their sleep

• Experiencing a profound sense of peaceful relaxation

Participants will be introduced to the concept of using the breath as a tool to move energy through the body. Then we will practice the technique as a group.

We ask that new participants arrive to the zoom meeting 10 minutes early.
